Construction continues on the Weaver Barns Urban Farmhouse in preparation for the Great Big Home + Garden Show Feb. 5th through the 14th
For the next two weekends, we get to live out a dream in a modern urban farmhouse – complete with a backyard chicken coop, chickens, garden shed, raised beds, and an Any Age Anywhere container garden,
No – it’s not quite at the farm yet. Our home will actually be in the Weaver Barns pavilion at the Great Big Home + Garden Show in Cleveland, Ohio – where we’ll spend our time in the demo garden getting the opportunity to talk about what we love most – gardening, cooking and a simple DIY life.
One of the most unexpected and yet fulfilling outcomes of creating our little farm and website has been the ever-expanding opportunity to speak about everything from gardening, cooking and raising backyard chickens – to living a more self-sufficient and simple life.

Each day, an increasing number of individuals living all over the world are becoming more interested in slowing down and working toward living a more simple and fulfilling lifestyle. That includes getting back to the basics – like growing and raising their own food – cooking, canning and preserving – and learning to do more things for themselves. And that is exactly what we will be talking about at the show!
We will be speaking on the entire process of our low maintenance raised row gardens (pictured above) – and info and a display on our new Any Age Anywhere Gardens at the farm.
As a backdrop for our talks – the Weaver Urban Farmhouse display includes an outdoor raised bed garden display, a special Any Age Anywhere container garden display, and a custom built chicken coop made from a Weaver Barn – complete with live chickens! Not to mention a pretty cool modern three-bedroom, two-bathroom Urban Farmhouse with a hip rustic feel.
So if you find yourself with a little bit of the Winter blues over the course of the next two weeks – come out and see us – we would love to meet you.
We will be speaking on Friday and Saturday each weekend of the show (February 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th) on everything from gardening, raising chickens, canning and more. (You can see our complete schedule at the bottom of the post)
