Instant Pot Strawberry Honey Jam – made with just 3 ingredients.

It is hard to believe that we first posted our Strawberry Honey Jam recipe 5 years ago!

This recipe is by far the most popular recipe on our website. In fact, it has had nearly a million views since we first posted it in 2013.

We first wrote about how we made strawberry jam with all natural ingredients: strawberries, apples, honey, and lemon juice.  With no refined sugar and no pectin, the recipe was a huge hit with many of our followers.

The original recipe was cooked on the stovetop and required an extended time to thicken because it didn’t use traditional pectin. This process could take up to an hour to achieve that perfect gel like consistency.

Although that is a perfectly acceptable way of making strawberry honey jam, I wanted to see if I could make it in a fraction of the time using the very popular Instant Pot Pressure Cooker.

Cut your strawberries and apple and add honey to your Instant Pot.

This small kitchen appliance is all the rage! It has taken the time required to cook in the kitchen down to minutes as compared to the time required for traditional cooking.

I honestly have to admit, that I use my Instant Pot daily, if not several times a day. And yes, I love it so much that I now have two! Check out our other favorite Instant Pot recipes at makeyourmeals.com.

So in an experiment to combine our favorite recipe with our favorite appliance, we decided to update our Strawberry Honey Jam recipe after 5 years.

We used the same ingredients, minus the lemon juice. The lemon juice was added in the original recipe primarily for canning purposes. We weren’t planning on canning this batch, so we didn’t include it.

The result….Strawberry Honey Jam made in half the time!

I actually preferred the Instant Pot method as the jam seemed to evaporate quicker and thicken more than the stove top version.

If you still wanted to can this jam, just add 3/4 tablespoon of lemon juice while cooking. Proceed with your water bath canning as stated in the original Strawberry Honey Jam recipe.

However, this recipe is so quick and easy to make, canning may not be necessary any more!
