I spread peanut butter in one side, butter in the other and jelly in the butter. This way my jelly doesn’t soak thru the bread.

@Bob, LOL You are so correct , My Daddy liked to joke if he told Joanne my Mom how to cook he would miss out on the worlds best food , he said she made homemade baked beans , he proposed that night LOL
I enjoyed sharing a very happy memory of my parents .
The bread does look extra scrumptious, my 19 year old granddaughter has become a baker using fresh yeast so proud of her , takes after me LOL

I started mixing the peanut butter and jelly when my kids were small to get the correct ratio and save on jelly drips. But after eating a piece of apple pie with cheddar cheese melted on top, I had to have a slice of cheddar cheese on it too and butter and toast the whole thing in a pan. Heaven!

Like a previous reader- the only correct way to make a PB&J is: peanut butter on both sides of the bread and jelly in the middle. That way the jelly doesn’t make the bread soggy.
