Honey Barbecue Wings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves of garlic - minced
  • 1/2 cup root beer or water
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 lbs chicken wings frozen or thawed

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except chicken wings in the pot
  2. Toss chicken wings in the mixed liquid, coating all sides.

Instant Pot/Pressure Cooker Instructions

  1. Close lid to Instant Pot and set value on sealing. Manual pressure for 12 minutes for frozen wings, 10 minutes for thawed wings using quick pressure release once time has expired.
  2. Place wings on a foil lined baking sheet and baste with additional sauce. Broil in the oven until sauce begins to caramelize (approximately 3-5 minutes) and turn and broil for an additional 2 minutes.

Crock Pot Instructions

  1. Cook in crock pot on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours
  2. Place wings on a foil lined baking sheet and baste with additional sauce. Broil in the oven until sauce begins to caramelize (approximately 3-5 minutes) and turn and broil for an additional 2 minutes.
