The main house is a two-story cedar sided home with an open floor plan concept. The first floor is 1056 square feet and has concrete stained floors. It includes a bedroom with double french doors leading to the back deck and overlooking the farm below. The first floor also includes a full bath with double sink, and a large walk in shower with rolling glass doors and a rain shower head above.
The main living area includes an open concept living room, kitchen and dining area with a large bank of windows for natural lighting. The home is heated with a highly efficient on-demand radiant floor heating system which also has a separate on-demand hot water system for shower, sinks, and main utility room. All doors on the first floor are rolling barn doors for easy entry to rooms. The first floor also includes a full pantry area with standard door access under the main staircase.
Down the main hallway on the first floor is a bedroom with a reclaimed barn wood accent wall, full laundry area, and utility room. The bedroom can fit a king size mattress with room for nightstand on both sides and a full size dresser. The space also include hidden access to additional storage under the steps.
There is a full-sized split staircase in the main living area leading to an additional loft / upstairs bedroom space of 326 square feet. The space has wood laminate flooring and contains two full size knee wall closets on each side. The upstairs room is naturally lit with a full triple bank of windows, and two dormer windows.
Detached Garage / Office Space
The detached cedar clad garage measures 32 x 24 with poured concrete floors. It includes a large steel double door automatic garage door for parking and or storage. The garage walls are completely finished in shiplap siding and metal wainscoting.
Included in the space is a 24 x 12′ office / living space with a separate entrance. It has acid stained concrete floors, a kitchenette, and full bathroom (full-sized shower and toilet). The space included its own hot water tank along with a TAC Heating and Air Conditioning unit.
Outdoor Living Space
The outdoor pavilion measures 16 x 20 with 8 x 8 rough-sawn beams. The pavilion has an all-metal roof on top of a full tongue and groove roof that matches the metal house roof. The oversized structure is perfect for entertaining, dining, and simply sitting under to relax.
It includes a cobblestone patio paver patio that extends 4 feet beyond the pavilion and provides additional space for tables / and or chairs.
Outdoor Pizza Oven
The wood fired pizza oven has a concrete pad and concrete block base which is covered with beautiful dry stack stone. The pizza oven is made from fire brick and insulated with castables. It has a large oval opening in the front for easy access when making pizzas, breads, and more. The base also includes a storage area to keep firewood stacked and dry.
Adjacent to the pizza oven is an outdoor kitchen/grilling area. A concrete base is covered with matching stack stone and includes 2 double cabinets for storage. The countertop is concrete and has been tinted to a natural taupe color. Included in the outdoor kitchen is a tabletop gas grill that is set down inside the countertop for easy access.
Just off the steps of the back porch sits a 8 person hot tub that was installed in 2017. It is placed on a concrete pad next to the pavillion and overlooks the back of the property. Just steps away from your back door, you can enjoy this luxury any time of the year!
The barn sits down below the house with a chip and tar driveway that leads directly to it. The barn was built using 100 year old barn wood and has metal wainscoting on the lower portion of the barn. There are 3 sets of double barn doors, one on each side, and one in the front of the barn. The barn also includes a closed in loft area for storage. The concrete floor was installed in 2017, along with a covered patio with concrete floors on either side of the barn. Each covered patio is approximately 12 x 24′ and is perfect to use for additional seating or storage areas.
The chicken coop sits at the back of the property that is easily reached by a gravel walkway from behind the barn. It is 12 x 8′ and sits on a concrete footer base for extra durability. The coop includes 10 nesting boxes, a feeding/watering perch station and 2 perching bars. There is a small door in the back of the coop that leads to a fenced in area.
Included as part of the property is a 40 x 60′ garden area. This garden has been the showcase of the property and has even had a book written about it. It includes wonderfully amended soil that is ideal for growing vegetables. The walkways are layered in wood chips for minimal maintenance and weeding. It is surrounded by a fence to help deter animals from entering.
At the back of the garden there is a garden shed that is 12 x 8′. It is perfect for storing garden tools and equipment and includes 3 shelves as well as a large open storage space. It has a double door entrance that allows for larger pieces of equipment to enter and exit with ease.
The gutter system on the garden shed is hooked up to a 275 gallon water tote for rainwater collection that can be used to water the garden.
At the back of the garden there are 4 open storage bins that currently store dirt, wood chips and compost. There is also a mini corn crib structure that is covered with a metal roof and is used to store straw bales.
Nestled below the garden and diagonal from the barn is a beautiful 10 x 10 wood pergola. In the summertime it provides a private seating area with ornamental grasses providing a natural landscaping wall. Hops and clematis grow up the sides of the pergola which provides extra beauty to the area.
A 6 foot round stone fire pit sits just below the pergola and is easy to get to by a stone walkway. The firepit has been dug down into the ground and is large enough to hold a full wooden pallet. It also includes a metal fire pit cooking bar for outdoor cooking!
Mini Vineyard Area
At the center of the property sits a mini vineyard. With 3 rows of grapes, this will provide enough grapes for jams, jelly and even wine making!
The east side of the property is lined with 7 fruit trees that makes up the mini orchard. Various apple trees and a pear tree are large enough to bear fruit and will do so for years to come!
