Over the past several years we have shared some of our favorite pickle and relish recipes with you.
And now that our garden is planted, and the cucumbers plants are beginning to grow, we thought it was a good time to share or list of favorite pickle and relish recipes.
Although most of the recipes focus on preserving cucumbers, we have added in a couple of zucchini relish recipes as well. One of these recipes has been passed down from my Grandmother and holds a special place in my heart.

Below we have separated our recipes into 3 different categories. First, you will find our favorite pickle recipes that require canning.
However, we understand that not everyone has or wants to use a canner to make pickles. Therefore, we have also included some of our favorite pickle recipes that are made overnight in the refrigerator.
This is a great way to make pickles when you have a small batch of cucumbers!

Our Favorite Pickle & Relish Recipes
Canning Pickles
This category includes recipes that require the pickles to be canned. However, don’t let that scare you, pickles are one of the easiest recipes to can!
Because pickle recipes require a high vinegar content, they can safely be canned using a Hot Water Bath Canner.
And if you are totally new to canning, this means that the packed jars are going to be placed in boiling water. Therefore, no pressure canning is required!

If you don’t have a water bath canner, no worries! You can still make pickles that are made overnight in the refrigerator.
